Draft Initial Working Group Recommendations Available for Feedback Through April 30

Maine is creating a Roadmap to develop an offshore wind industry that works for Maine’s people, economy, and heritage.

Since last fall, four Working Groups comprised of nearly 100 representatives from a cross-section of stakeholders have been working to develop a set of draft initial recommendations on energy markets, ports and infrastructure, socioeconomic impacts, equity, manufacturing and supply chains, workforce development, and fisheries and environmental compatibility.

Those draft initial ideas are now available for your feedback. Your feedback on these initial ideas is important to help create an economic development plan for the offshore wind industry in Maine while ensuring a balance with our state’s maritime industries and environment.

Please use this link to review the draft initial recommendations and provide comment using the Feedback Form: Maine Offshore Wind Roadmap Draft Initial Recommendations.

Comments on the initial draft recommendations are accepted through April 30, and will be shared with each Working Group to help further expand and refine the recommendations over the coming months. We look forward to hearing your thoughts and feedback.
